Papers include the transcript of Cora Barnes' 1904 diary, written when she was twenty years old and living in Pittsburgh. The diary primarily documents her work and activities in Pittsburgh and her stay with family at their Saxonburg (Butler County), Pa. farm in the summer of 1904. Of note are descriptions of Victor Herbert and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (March 19, 1904), her work and detailed accounts of her stay at the family farm.
